PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The inspiration of Izumi restaurant on the oasis of the seas is based on the beauty of nature’s imperfections. analyzing this imperfection along with the 7 principles of the Zen philosophy, the restroom becomes an organic and unconventional design. with the use of the 7 principles of the Zen theory: austerity, simplicity, naturalness, subtlety, imperfection, break from routine and stillness, patrons will experience calmness and rejuvenation. the color palette and materiality use inspired by the elements of nature will reinforce the design while promoting sustainability. Bringing nature from the outside in will bring that wow factor to the restroom Royal Caribbean is looking for.
